Anthony Crollas Urine Sample Proves The Harsh Reality Of Boxers Lives

Anthony Crolla was successful in winning a future shot at the WBA lightweight title on Saturday night but on social media the Manchester boxer proved what he went through to secure a potential fight with Vasyl Lomachenko.

Saturday night was a big night for boxing as Tony Bellew bowed out of the sport in a losing effort full of heart against the impressive Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk, who finished the fight with a devastating knockout of the Liverpudlian.

On the undercard of the main event was the chance for one man to face up against another impressive Ukrainian in the form of Vasyl Lomachenko.

Lomachenko is currently the WBA lightweight champion and Anthony Crolla faced Indonesian fighter Daud Yordan as a final eliminator for the title.

Crolla, back in his hometown after a year away following his win over Ricky Burns, was victorious, winning a tight 12 round contest on points, winning 116-112 on all three judges cards.

The win gives ‘Million Dollar’ the chance to come up against one of the world’s best and to win back the title he lost to Jorge Linares but he showed on social media the win came at a cost.

Posting on his Instagram story Crolla showed off his urine sample from after the fight and it looks less like piss and more like a blackcurrant drink:

The shots Crolla must have taken to the body in order for his sample to look like this after, and that’s a fight that he won with a relatively comfortable margin.

The 31 year old Mancunian also took to Twitter to thank his fans and look forward to his shot at Loma’s title:

After the fight Crolla said, “All credit to Daud Yordan, he pushed me all the way. People are going to have their own opinions but I’m not going to be disrespectful to Lomachenko and call him out. But if I’m his mandatory and could have that, then I would love to.”

Lomachenko would be massive favourite for any fight between the pair but he’s clearly got the stones to go through all sorts of punishment.

Crolla won, imagine the other guy!
